Road Trip to Philadelphia
Colorado fans are taking a road trip to the Philly Match (Saturday 8/14)!
Hotel: We have arranged a group rate at a historic hotel in downtown ($139 queen bed, $169 two queen beds) available for a minimum two night stay starting Thursday 8/12 and checking out Monday 8/16. We have information about another hotel in Chester if you want a less expensive option and want to just travel to/from the match and not hang around downtown, just contact roadtrips@nofanalone.com for more information.
Local Transportation: Most of us are traveling without a car, and just relying on public transportation, which includes a bus to Valley Forge! Since PPL Park is in Chester (approximately 10 miles south of downtown), we are going to arrange transportation to/from the match as we find out how many are traveling. There is an update on the Union website that looks like we can take public transportation there too.
Getting There: Travelers are responsible for their own transportation to/from Philly, there is a local shuttle to get to/from downtown hotels for $10 per person each way (www.ladylibertyshuttle.com). The current airline fares are around $385 and they are lower if you can stay longer than just the weekend.
Match Tickets: We have a few tickets available at $36, and more available in the supporter section for (approximately) $20 per ticket – pick your poison.
